Currently: Retained by Shartsis Friese LLP as an expert witness for construction litigation regarding aluminum wiring / sale of a multi-unit property. 7-7-17 Provided expert testimony to the Honorable Robert M. Sabraw at the JAMS facility in Walnut Creek regarding aluminum wiring, Alumiconn Connectors, the definition of retrofit with regards to aluminum branch wiring and the procedures to replace aluminum branch circuits in an existing, occupied apartment building.
Currently: completing construction of a 5300 SF contemporary custom home located in West Danville.
Currently: design / build of a Livermore whole house remodel; 1970’s ranch to a contemporary / craftsman.
David DiDonato 57, president and founder (2005) of Donato Builders Inc. oversees the construction operations, land acquisitions, entitlements and consulting activities with over 37 years’ experience in the construction and development industries.
Previously, DiDonato owner of Baseline Construction Services provided consulting services to prominent Clients such as The Warmington Group, Catellus, Pinn Brothers Fine Homes, Malcolm Properties, Martin Land Company and other private developers where he provided a multitude of services for the development and construction of residential and commercial properties
Before that, DiDonato was a Senior Superintendent for Howard S. Wright Construction where he was directly responsible for the construction of hotels and class A office buildings.
Prior to his tenure with Howard S. Wright, DiDonato was a Project Superintendent for Webcor Builders where he was also directly responsible for the management and construction of a variety of high-rise commercial projects.
DiDonato began building custom homes in 1980 as a carpenter apprentice. He later worked as a union commercial carpenter, foreman and general foreman from 1983 to 1995 before his promotion to Superintendent by Webcor Builders. His diverse building skills include; high-rise poured in place and steel structures, hospitals, hotels, retail, mixed use, multifamily, single family, bridges, parking garages, tilt-ups, historic renovations, custom homes and specialty renovations.
